Land in Southern Mexico!!

The leadership team in Southern Mexico reports that they have purchased
a piece of property in Emiliano Zapata, Tabasco, Mexico.
The property is not completely paid for yet, but we are applying for free
help with the City to fill-in and level the property. Pray with us for favour
with the City Government and funds to finish paying for the property and
to build a church in Emiliano Zapata.
This is a huge step for us. We have met in homes for many years and
have prayed for a property to open up for us in this City!
Thank you Jesus!

Major Flooding in Southern Mexico

Dear Friends,
We would appreciate your prayers for our brothers and sisters that we work with in deep Southern Mexico.  I received a report this week indicating that in Eastern Tabasco State, they are experiencing the worse flooding in memory.

"He's With Me"

The day after my Dad's funeral, just 19 months after 9/11, I was riding the massive subway system in Mexico City, passing the time, praying for the country, trying to keep my sanity during a brutal 9 hour layover.
About 15 miles from the airport, I decided to change trains at one of the massive elevated stations close to the center of town and head in the direction of the airport.  Needless to say, the digital list of incoming and outbound trains in this city of twenty million was very confusing to this American boy who wasn't in any shape to be reasoning and figuring out things!
Suddenly, a middle-aged man in a dark suit walked up beside me and asked where I was going, I said "to the Airport", he was going there as well and said that's where he worked, and added, "if I wanted to", I could ride with him and hang out until my next flight.  I felt good about it and agreed.
As we entered the airport, I noticed everyone knew him, everyone was calling him "sir" and "can I help you with anything".
This was a very large airport with flights landing every 90 seconds, so I took note of this!
This gentleman takes me to security, I tell him I have no boarding pass yet because it's still 5 hours to my flight.  He just smiles and says don't worry about it!  We walk up to the Federal Agents and this man simply says, "he's with me".
No bag check, no ID check, nothing.  The security agents say, "yes sir".
The gentleman tells me, "We should check the weather forecast", so now he leads me down countless halls deep in the bowels of the Mexico City International Airport and we come to a Mexican Federal Police checkpoint and they are armed with machine guns!  Again, "He's with me" and I hear a, "Yes sir"!  The next door leads to the Mexican National Weather Service Office where I am introduced to the head of the Meteorological Services of Mexico and they let me sit down with them as they plan the evening forecast for the entire nation.  They allow me to see their charts, computers, everything!
I swallow the huge knot in my throat, then work up my courage and ask if I can take a couple of pictures.

My main thought was, "NOBODY IN TEXAS WILL EVER BELIEVE THIS STORY UNLESS I BRING PROOF!!!"

Next, through more security, again hearing that now-familiar, "He's with me" this man brings me to the airport executive lounge where I am given access to all the food, drinks and desserts I want for free.  I sit with the airport managers and executives, and here I am, a Texas boy dressed like a tourist with my head spinning.
It gets better....again, must....force...myself to ask if I can take pictures!
After an hour of eating and visiting with these executives, we pass one last heavy line of security, same story, same words.  I find myself now almost getting dizzy as I am being led into the control tower.  They introduce me to the controllers and sit me in front of the radar and tell me to watch the airplanes come in.
They treated me like a king, let me sit with the air traffic controllers and let me watch as they did everything from controlling the in and outbound flights, to the section on the side where they are setting up flight plans and lining up flights to land from hundreds of miles away.
Just before my flight was to board, I was escorted to the Mexicana Airlines desk, given my boarding pass, again bypassing all security and put on my flight.  An experience I will never forget.

Two days later, in the swampy lowlands of deep Southern Mexico I preached a message in a crusade and the title was "He's with Me".
It's been burned in my heart ever since!

I now stand more amazed than ever before at the access we have through Jesus.  The whole sermon was about coming into the Holiest place before God, having access to the Throne Room, having the ability to stand or bow in the presence of the most Supreme Being in the universe!

All because Jesus is saying, "He's with me, he doesn't have to pass through security, my Blood broke down the full body scanners and pushed back the security guards and removed the religious people that make you bring access cards and credentials".   He removed the thousand miles of red tape that says you have to clean up the outside and dress a certain way to get in.  He gave us free, unlimited access.

The only access card we need is the one that says we have accepted Him as out Savior and His blood covers us.  When we come into that glory, into the presence of the One who created us, then we will be the one who changes and grows and becomes who we are called to be.

He wants us to take advantage of this access.

Got Peace?

Years ago, fishing in the Gulf with 35 knot winds, I didn't have a lot of peace. My only peace came in the form of pie-ces of my breakfast that had become shark chum! Back on land after a long recovery as I pondered how on earth Jesus could sleep in the middle of a storm, I was led to Isaiah 26.

2 Open the gates, that the righteous nation which keeps the truth may enter in.
3 You will keep him in perfect peace,
whose mind is stayed on you,
because he trusts in You.
4 Trust in the LORD forever,
for in the LORD, is everlasting strength.

One of God's names is the Prince of Peace. The very peace that was already inside of Jesus was manifested in the natural as He spoke to the storm from the deck of that wave-tossed ship.

Keeping the truth, setting your mind on heavenly things, trusting Him, and notice it also says..."A righteous nation." If we follow those things, we can't have our peace taken away!
Even when we walk into a place where there is storm, chaos, or unrest, the peace that is already inside us can and will affect the people around us.

It's His presence, it's the knowing that He is near, it is Him dwelling within you, it's a mind that is set on heavenly things that brings real, true, lasting peace.

Blessings,

-Scott McDonald

Final Mexico Report and Drunk Driver Accident

Greetings!

Wow, what a wonderful time in Mexico. We saw the Lord move in so many different ways. We spent 3 days in La Constitucion, Tabasco ministering in nightly meetings and going house to house.

The only full day we were able to go minister on the streets and house to house, we saw around 15 come to the Lord and at least 4 more re-dedicate their lives to the Lord.

David Mapp preached a powerful message there in Constitucion and many were touched. We prayed with a lady that evening to accept the Lord. The believers were really encouraged that night.

There is no way we could have done all the things we did without the Lord giving us the strength to do it.

We came to San Geronimo on Thursday night for a meeting. They had removed the front of the church building because there were as many people outside the building as inside.

(Picture is of Emma with a lady who had just prayed to receive the Lord)

I preached about an Orphan spirit that had crept into many of their lives. A separation from God’s presence just as Adam and Eve had disobeyed and sinned and immediately began to accuse one another and see through the eyes of flesh instead of the eyes of the Spirit. How that mentality had caused accusations and lack of the presence of God in their homes and in the church. The Holy Spirit put some serious heat on the church for quite a while, then moved them towards victory and repentance. People were weeping in their seats, then the presence of God came. It was so beautiful to see a great restoration. Later came healings and a real move of God!

Near the end of the service just after we finished ministering, a drunken driver slammed into the front of the ministry truck in front of the church. The miracle was that the truck shielded the drunken drivers truck from coming into the church yard and seriously injuring or killing people.

A 10 year old boy was in the truck at the time and got a pretty good bump on his head as he was thrown into the dashboard, but was otherwise ok. The drunk drove off from the scene of the crash and tried to get away. I took our rental car and picked up the government delegate and police, got a warrant and we found the guy wrecked about a mile down the road.

How great is God’s mercy? His truck had hung in a barbed wire fence and that fence kept him from driving off into the biggest river in Central America and Mexico. We found him passed out in the driver’s seat. God has a lot of mercy…..Amen?

(Emma with some of the Children)

Robert’s truck will eventually be fixed, at a pretty good cost to us. The drunk will have to pay some, but a Mexican political party is covering for him and he is completely free. No justice whatsoever. The man was completely unrepentant when I talked to him the next day. I spent 13 hours on Friday…7.30 in the morning until 8.30 at night on paperwork and waiting on Mexican authorities to press charges, something we were required to do. We met with the police, both state and local, with the prosecutor, and the county attorney.

Saturday, we ministered in Emiliano Zapata. Emma and I interrupted the worship service and started speaking together about JOY! They finally started catching hold of it and there was an extended time of laughter and dancing in God’s house!! Emma went from person to person ministering and spreading joy. There was a huge change within 30 minutes, it was like heaven opened some more over our group.

Daved later came and preached an anointed message about “Dominion” and our authority as believers. Wow. The people responded and we prayed with almost everyone in that packed-out house church.

We were so blest this trip to have Bob Openshaw with us. He is a professional photographer and friend. He shot our wedding pictures last year. Bob took family pictures and printed and gave them to the people while we were there. He worked tirelessly on that project and blest so many people. He also photographed meetings and ministry times. What an amazing blessing!!!

We hope to have some great pictures to share with you soon.

Thank you so much for your prayers, there was a lot accomplished on this trip. There was a lot of long lasting fruit.

Blessings and Increase,

Scott and Emma McDonald

Day 2, Mexico ministry trip

Hi!

Thank you for your prayers, they are greatly appreciated!
We had a great day of outreach Tuesday, starting with ministry
in a home where the husband had died of AIDS the week before.
Several came to the Lord and several re-dedicated their lives to the Lord.
We spent the afternoon going house to house and ministering
in the streets to various people. We prayed with several more
for salvation and had a total of around 12 first time decisions.
Several more besides that re-dedicated their lives.
As we were hitting the streets, Bob Openshaw was taking family
pictures so he could bless the people with pictures in their homes.
He also photographed part of the service so we should have some
wonderful pictures to share!!
Toward the end of the day, Emma began to feel sick, and I took
her back to the hotel to rest, at the same time, I called for more
prayer support from the USA and within a couple hours everything began to
improve....Praise God!
This morning, we are much better, and are about to head out visiting
again.
Many people were touched by God last night. David Mapp preached
a powerful message on salvation.
Please continue to lift us up, especially for the meeting tonight in La
Constitucion.
Blessings!!!

Trip and first meeting in Constucion

Greetings,
After a day of travel on Sunday, we are finally in Tabasco, Mexico.
The team on this trip consists of Scott and Emma McDonald, David Mapp and Bob Openshaw.
Monday night we held our first meeting in La Constitucion, Tabasco. This is a small town on the border with Campeche in far Eastern Tabasco.
The meetings are being held in the central park in the middle of town.
We had a smaller crowd tonight, but the Lord really moved on people. Around 12-15 reported that various pains and ailments were healed, and we will be following up with several of them tomorrow.
I preached a salvation message and one lady came to the Lord. She had been listening from a street corner and came in to give her life to the Lord.
Keep us in your prayers, tomorrow is a busy day!!!
We plan to minister to a group in a home we have never been to in Zapata at 10am, then have lunch and head straight to Constitucion. Bob will be taking family pictures as Emma and I and David hit the streets to preach and pray for the sick. Then the usual 7pm crusade meeting.
I hope to have a few picture updates in the next couple of days, until then.........
Blessings and Increase!!!!

Greetings!

Have you noticed a definite increase in the presence of God this year? Wow. God is so good.
We have many wonderful opportunities to share God's love and grace the next few weeks. plans are underway for a trip to Mexico the end of march for an outreach to La Constitucion and Emiliano Zapata.
My good friend Steve Lincoln is coming in on the 4th to spend the weekend with Emma and I. We are expecting a great time of fellowship and rest in the Lord. Steve, who is from England, has been ministering on this side of the Atlantic the last few weeks. Places like, Ardmore, Oklahoma, Los Fresnos, Texas and Matamoros, Mexico. His ministry is called "Eagles Wings Ministries". There is a link to it on our "Links" page.
Blessings to all!!
More to follow!
